ADMINISTRATION OF WILLS & TRUSTS

If a person dies with a will or intestate with assets exceeding $166,250, their estate probably must be probated. “Probate” refers to the court supervised process whereby the decedent’s estate will be inventoried, appraised, distributed and accounted for.
We represent those who will manage the estate during the probate process: executors and personal representatives. We assist in all aspects and phases of the probate process, beginning with the initial petition, ending with final distribution and discharge, including all the important steps in between.
Unlike probate, administering a trust is a private process. Nonetheless, it can be difficult to manage the responsibilities of trustees and the rights of beneficiaries without adequate legal counsel. We provide legal services to trustees and beneficiaries to better ensure proper trust management according to proper legal standards and requirements.
